We woke a little earlier this morning to make sure we got off in good time to catch the ferry. Once again this morning, we enjoyed French toast, but not any ordinary French toast. This French toast was two thin slices of bread with cream cheese and orange slices in between them, and then they were dipped in the batter. It was something a little different, but very good. After a good night sleep, and a terrific breakfast of French Toast, we were ready to hit the road soon after 9am (leaving the town of Baltic, PIE). It was a pretty day and we only had 110 miles to go so we had a lot of time to blow along the ways. Read the rest of this entry »

Wednesday morning we left our cozy bed and breakfast in Alma, the tide capital of the world, and were back on the road headed towards Prince Edward Island. It was a foggy and cold morning, so must of us where bundled in as many clothes as we could get on. Dad enjoys the lighthouses, so we swung by one that was run by a group of students. With the fog, we where afraid we where going to drive right on pass it. Read the rest of this entry »

After a wonderful night of sleeping at Larry and LeeAnn, we left soon after 9am. They lived close to the old town part of St Andrews, so we headed down to the water fronts and found a nice place for breakfast. (We made a call back to Ohio and Rhoda was out with all the gals for breakfast). Read the rest of this entry »

We made it into Canada safely. For our last stretch through Maine, we traveled along Route 1 which ran along the coast, enjoying the beautiful scenery of lakes, ocean, bridges, trees, and fields along the way. The temperature dropped quite a bit from yesterday. It got colder as we drove up the coast. This morning was the warmest it probably got today. Yesterday we wore t-shirts, and got slightly burned on our arms. Today we had our coats on the entire drive, and tomorrow we’ll probably add a sweat shirt. About the time we where getting towards the border, the skies where threatening to rain, but it fortunately held off. Read the rest of this entry »

I asked Devin about his day as he is perched on the moto with Dad. He said he was pretty sore today because we didn’t stop very often. He likes to look at cars – a lot of old cars, he listens to music and looks for animals in the swampy areas. (we haven’t seen any moose yet) We saw countless number of motorcycles today (1000’s of them! I think)– most of them were Harley – they had bike week in Meredith, New Hampshire and this was the last day and there was a pile of them on road. Devin/ written by Dallas

We had a good sleep with no extra night activities in our Stage Coach rooms. I had gotten up and left around 7:45 to visit our VENTRAC dealer, Keil Equip in Hudson NY. Meet with Brad Keil and Don P. I got back to the hotel at 9:15am and the boys were ready to go. As we loaded the bikes it started to rain. I thought maybe the rain would pass over but within 4 miles I soon realized that it was going to continue raining. We pulled over under an old filling station roof and put on our rain suit. I called to our dealer OESCO in Conway, Mass. and asked him if it was raining. He said that it hadn’t yet but was clouded over. It was a 2-1/4 hours when it was dry and I knew that if we were to get there by 12 noon (when they closed) we would need to keep rolling. Read the rest of this entry »

We woke up this morning to hear that Devin had thrown up during the night and that he wasn’t feeling to well. We ate a great breakfast that Aunt Cheri had prepared for us. Then we left Marietta, PA at 8:00 to visit Denver’s friend Shawn Hunter at MCC about 30 miles away. Read the rest of this entry »

The Steiner Motorcycle trip has begun. We arrived safely in Marietta, PA at Aunt Cheri and Uncle Joes house. We logged over 400 miles in our first day of riding. For the most part I think we are holding up well, and aren’t too sore; however I think our beds will be inviting. On the way, we visited Dotterer Equipment, and enjoyed the beautiful weather on our first day. Read the rest of this entry »
